We got a lot of problems to work out, but here's one that seems pretty obvious to me: Use David Luiz as a CDM. His passing is better than Oriol Romeu (who is quite good actually but lacks experience) , goes forward a lot and wel like Essien, his pace and defensive abilties are obviously better than? Mikel's and being prone to slip up's isn't that catastrophic when you still have 4 defenders covering ur arse.

AVB has just started his job this season, time must be given. At least three years, then we can judge him whether he should be Chelsea manager or not. It's difficult for me to understand the reason not playing Lampard, Cole and Essien in the starting XI. My guess for Lampard not playing is that because? of Ramires is playing, Lampard and Ramires are both same character. Cole may be rebel. as for Essien, i couldnt find one. @FrankLampardd08 sturridge is a striker so you'd expect him to be selfish and if you see where AVB plays him (on the right wing) so his left foot is inside infront of? the goal and it allows him to shoot more. mata also gives 110% every match. luiz cares too much about criticism he doesn't concentrate you can't blame him because our backline are all doing shit. malouda as you said has been benched and lampard just doesn't give a fuck anymore. he's waiting for AVB to get sacked which won't happen

I remember seeing him trying to handle a ball that was flicked over his head, i've seen him scream at the ref when the ball was clearly off him. I think sturridge is playing? hard but is just stupid, he thinks he can score from anywhere. I've never seen Lampard this bad, same goes for Cole and malouda (but u can't blame him hes been benched the entire season and rarely gets playing time). David luiz is pure stupid

@tmrialv A CDM's purpose is not primarily to score, it's to break up opposing play, push the ball forward, spread out play and cover for his teammates who are pushing forward. Makelele? who was probably one of our best players and one of the worlds best holding midfielders, and he only scored twice for us. David Luiz is very calm on the ball and he puts in some good tackles, but his best trait is going forward and he should revert to his LB/RB role he usually played before coming to Chelsea.

what chelsea need is a winger. look at tottenham they have bale on one side and lennon on the other side AVB is playing mata as a winger every time mata gets the ball he takes in side or passes back if u watch bale he takes on the def and get a cross? in than u have your strikers who will get the end of the ball.

@Holad70 i agree with you up to your? number 6. Sturridge is being silly, he's making excuses for his poor form. he did play centre forward for some of the game as Torres switched with him. Sturridge is playing crap and just can't face it. Torres is a far better striker than Sturridge. Sturridge should stick to playing in the wing and needs to train his shots so he can score finesse shots. He's not strong enough yet to be a lone striker and his shots are not good enough yet.
