Yes the Siamese wrote in Korm but not the Tai Lue. The Tailue script is ??????? but it is descended from the Mon script which the Lanna and Burmanese are also descended from. I am standing firm on believing that Lao ethnic people are facing discrimination every day in Southeast Asian countries where the Lao? are minorities, especially true in Thailand and Burma. There are about 10 Lao villages located in the border area between Burma and Thailand. The Lao there have to pay tax for all 3 main groups such as Burmese, Karen and Shan. They were forced to be slave labor when conflicts broke out among the three. I would like to talk more, but I am out of limit.

When i said Lao people? face "discrimination and prejudices" i meant it has been happening more in Thailand where large ethnic Lao population are living. I know is not here in the U.S.A. I am Lao as well and consider to be purely and truely Lao. Most of all i am very proud to be born Lao. It is a fact that Laos is one of the poorest country in the world due to Vietnam's Lao puppet government mismanagement of the country economy and politics.

I am1000000 percent sure that this is originally Lao song (Tai Lao). The Lao singer who first sang this song named "Koviset" which was a Lao legendary Lao singer. SaoLaiChang, That's what I thought too. But this is a Shan script. It has its own consonants, and yes, it does share a few consonant with Burmese? such as the S, and the M etc. If you can read Thai/Lao script then Shan script isn't that hard. Burmese script is harder. :)
