What whining boy are you talking about? By the way, Brando deWilde (who played the boy in Shane) died decades ago in an accident.?

It is not clear that Shane dies? at the end. Although Wilson shot him, the way he rides off does not suggest it was fatal.

Alas, villains are still roaming our planet, no matter how often they get 'cleaned' away. I? guess that part of our vilainous human nature will remain with us forever.

I see I am not the only one wondering how why they showed the gunfight? at the end of the trailer. This film is part of my collection and I watch it often.

Shane is real hero--but he's a western 'dinosaur' with no more home. After he 'cleans up' the valley, he has to leave for civilization to take place. An uncomfortable view I know, but its? clearly the one espoused in the film.

Right. Was a genius way to have him die at the end but not break the boys illusion of him as immortal. And would be a downer to have him die in the street at the gunfight or back home in the cabin. So George Stevens implies? subtly his death.

he didnt wanna die in front of? the boy right? legendary

Shane approaches a graveyard, the dark sky...............Tombstones..........He dies at the end. Also metaphorically the? death of the gunfighter of the Old West.

Guess at his fae. I think he lived, and returned to find the dull-eyed, dimwitted boy muttering 'Shane' to himself in the alley? behind the saloon...

I hear tell that the little blonde boy can now be found on the rougher outskirts of? traveling rodeo shows where he will do his trademark whiny ass-ruin the film "SHANE" Call for a few sips of beer.

lol, sorry man. I thought everyone had already seen this movie? who was watching this.. my mistake.
By: armyman1982atyahoo. on 02 Mar 12, 17:34:05
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Shane actually does die in the end. That's why when the? boy is yelling "Shane, Shane!!".. he doesn't turn around bc he is dead. The reason it was written this way, was so that you (the reader/or movie watcher) would know, but that to your knowledge, the boy would never know. Does that make sense. It's a very genius idea.
